The Iowa Gold Star Futurity was founded in 1993.    We offer Arabian and Half-Arabian breeders a unique program to participate in.    Thank you for your interest in our program.

 Our Iowa Gold Star Futurity is unique and stands out from all others because we offer PARTBRED breedings as well as Purebred breedings.     This means that we allow our purebred stallions an opportunity to donate not only a Purebred breeding that will be sold to a buyer with a Purebred Arabian mare to produce a Purebred Arabian foal to show, but we also allow you to donate a Partbred breeding that may be purchased by a buyer with a non-Arabian mare that wants to breed her to a Purebred Stallion to produce a Half-Arabian foal that is eligible to show in the futurity as well.    Because we offer Partbred breedings, we have opened up our stallion auction to include stallions of other breeds including Saddlebreds, Paints, Pintos, Freisians, Quarterhorses, etc.      Breeders that have Purebred Arabian mares that want to outcross and produce quality Half Arabians to show in the futurity are welcome to participate.  

 Another interesting benefit a stallion owner is given in our program is if you donate breedings to the Iowa Gold Star Futurity, when your breeding sells you are eligible to nominate a mare of your choice into the program and show the resulting foal back in the auction classes with all other auction buyers.    If a stallion owner donates both a purebred and a partbred breeding, you will be eligible to participate in both purebred and partbred auction classes.
